Brachioplasty, or arm lift, helps remove unwanted skin and fat that cannot be removed by diet and exercise alone. The primary difference between a brachioplasty and liposuction of the arms is that excess skin is removed during the surgery. This is necessary when the skin has lost its elasticity, either from age or weight loss. The scar sits discretely on the underside of the arm, from the elbow and into the axilla (arm pit).
